Abigail's Boat

My boat is made out of a milk bottle. It has a sticker on it with a 7 on it and stickers around it. The sail is held up by a stick which is the mast. It has a lid to make no water come in. The front is called the bow and the back is called the stern. My boat is very hollow because it is a milk bottle. The bottom is called the hull. I think my boat will float because it has a plastic bottom.

This week, one of our sounds of the day was 'th'

Abigail explains the Water Cycle

We need the sun for the water to go up to the sun as water vapours. This is called Evaporation. The next step is, the gas turns into little droplets in the cloud. This is called Condensation.The little droplets of water bump into each other and make bigger droplets of water.Then it starts raining.This is called Precipitation. It goes into the river and then joins up to the lake and then goes to the ocean, this is called Collection.

This is what a polluted pond looks like...

A polluted pond has brown muck and old dead plants.  There is poisonous water because humans have dumped all their smelly rubbish into the pond, like old dog bones and old empty spray cans. All the plants are dead because of the polluted smell and dirty water. The sludge is thick and slimy.

In a polluted pond there is lots of stinky rubbish, like an old shoe or a can of paint or a black round tyre. I would keep the pond clean. I don't like polluted ponds, I like clean ponds!

A polluted pond has oily water and it is smelly. There is wet slimy, muck and the muck is brown. People just throw trash in the polluted pond, The trash is yuck. The air is unclean and it is hard to breathe it has stuff blowing around. The fish are sad and some die.

A polluted pond has unclean water because of the rubbish that's in it. The air is dirty and theres poisonous sewerage coming out of a pipe. On the land next to the pond, there is brown slippery muck and tyres are in the water. Some of the fish are sad or even dead. The fish don't want a polluted pond because it's smelly and dirty and it's got cans in it too.

Abigail's sock puppet is GREAT

This is my sock puppet. He has long horns. The horns are for fighting with. He has a long nose for sniffing its prey from 50cm.
The reindeer tale is 20cm which is pretty long!
It has an 'A' on it. It has a very small flower on it's back. He is cool.

This is my robot. It has suction pads. the suction pads are for my robot to hold onto the floor so it doesn't fall over. My robot is made out of metal. The metal can be recycled. My robot has buttons. The first button can make it go off and on. The second button can make it talk. The last button can make it walk. I think that suction pads are very good.

Our trip to MOTAT

MOTAT was cool. We saw a carriage with a horse pulling it. We went on a tram and Sina wore the 

tram drivers hat.

Yesterday I went on a a bus to MOTAT. My favourite thing was the ride on the tram and looking in the church too. We were all in groups. I saw some fire engines and an old big tram. After a while it was lunchtime. So, we all went back to have lunch. Then, me and my class went to learn about old toys.
